Royal Joinery has its own dedicated Factory to assist clients on high profile projects that require international expertise and a degree of workmanship that eliminates the need to source sub-contractors and third-party furniture suppliers. Our primary focus is on carpentry and woodwork specialties across a wide variety of projects and sectors through the delivery of sophisticated qualified experts in their field and innovative techniques and equipment.
Job Title: Accountant
As an Accountant in the Joinery/Fit Out/Contracting industry, your role is essential in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations, and Standards. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining up to date and accrual financials statements and reports. Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Record Keeping: Accurately record and maintain financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash, and bank entries.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, taking into consideration the unique financial demands of the Joinery/Fit Out/Contracting industry.
- Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring they comply with industry and UAE accounting standards.
- Tax Compliance: Stay up to date with UAE tax laws and regulations as they relate to the construction and contracting industry. Ensure all tax obligations are met.
- Cost Control: Monitor and analyze project costs, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control measures are in place.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Manage financial relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in the industry, ensuring timely payments and adherence to contracts.
- Financial Audits: Assist in the preparation and coordination of financial audits, liaising with external auditors as required.
- Financial Software and Tools: Utilize accounting software and financial tools to streamline and automate financial processes.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with local regulatory authorities and industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Financial Analysis: Provide insights and analysis on financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement and optimization.
Job Title: Assistant Accountant
As an Assistant Accountant in the Joinery/Fit Out/Contracting industry, your role is to support the senior accounting team in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations, and contributing to the financial stability of the organization. This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in accounting and a desire to gain hands-on experience in the industry. Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Record Keeping: Assist in the accurate recording and maintenance of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Invoicing and Payments: Process and prepare invoices for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely payments.
- Data Entry: Efficiently enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reconciliations: Assist in reconciling financial accounts and statements to ensure they align with company records.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of basic financial reports, under the guidance of the senior accountant.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Support the financial relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, helping to maintain accurate records and ensure timely payments.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring they are properly recorded and allocated to the correct accounts and handling petty cash.
- Compliance Assistance: Assist in ensuring compliance with local regulatory authorities and industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Financial Software and Tools: Learn to use accounting software and financial tools to assist in financial processes.
Job requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Job Title: Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience in the Joinery, Fit Out, or Contracting industry in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE accounting principles and regulations, particularly those specific to the construction and contracting sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CMA, or CA) is a plus.
Job Title: Assistant Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience in the Joinery, Fit Out, or Contracting industry in the UAE.
- Basic knowledge of UAE accounting principles and regulations, with a willingness to learn industry-specific requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
