Your role

You’ll take responsibility for making sure our repair jobs are carried out properly and in accordance with BMW Group guidelines and regulations. Additionally, you’ll offer valuable technical supervision of the Body & Paint Department staff.

As this is a supervisory position, we’ll also look to you to ensure workshop productivity, leads and guides body shop employees, acts as contact person for third parties, steers and controls operational management.

Job requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure repair jobs are carried out completely and correctly by technicians, painters and denters in accordance with BMW guidelines and regulations.
  • Utilize Body shop capacity and ensure flawless work quality by means of suitable Body shop equipment, test instruments and methods.
  • Ensure and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations including operational and traffic safety of customers' cars within the framework of the repair work to be performed.
  • Control Body shop staff based on defined key figures. Conduct regular meetings to discuss target agreements/feedback and achievement of objectives. Give technical support to technicians, painters and denters in preparing diagnostics and performing difficult repairs.
  • Check all repair and maintenance jobs placed with third parties and ensure that the quality and deadline keeping is correct.
  • Match current Bodyshop capacity continuously with order deadlines and consult the Service Advisors and Service Assistant. Organize order planning based on mechanics' qualifications, if necessary, consults the Team Leaders.
  • Observe in compliance with applicable repair conditions. Check that hazardous substances, waste and disposable materials are handled and stored correctly in accordance with waste disposal regulations and monitors and organizes cleanliness and tidiness in the service area.
  • Evaluate all repaired cars (technical) and assists in ordering parts.
  • Perform regular internal quality measures and carry out technical final checks after order processing.
  • Perform ad-hoc activities assigned by Workshop Manager.
