Job description

We are looking for a dynamic Director of Operations to join Groomy Pet and lead our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the organization. Key duties include developing and implementing operational strategies, managing budgets, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Director of Operations will also be tasked with identifying areas for growth and driving initiatives to enhance overall operational performance. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of Groomy Pet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the general manager in the business objectives through the highest standards of customer experience, stakeholder management and efficient management of resources, thereby maximizing revenue, profitability, and growth.

• HR coordination including: Contracts signature, health insurance, Emirates ID issuance.

• Application of the approved protocols to the whole structure.

• Assistance in analysis for annual business plans/budgets for each department in coordination with the finance function and the business heads and monitor their performance. Apply corrective actions decided by the general manager where needed.

• Provide leadership according to the guidelines and general management decisions to ensure efficient and effective management of each of the departments (Operations, Marketing & Finance) to ensure optimum utilization of resources, and increase productivity and minimize costs.

• Coordination in the development of a marketing strategy with the Marketing Executive that drives revenues, builds brand equity, develops, and leverages digital assets (Social Media). Aim to foster high customer loyalty and strong word-of-mouth.

• Ensure smooth operations on the tender and other purchases related to the facility.

• Ensure optimal analysis and control over expenses and conduct cost-benefit analysis so the general management can take appropriate measures.

• Ensure the business is staffed by competent personnel.

• Ensure adequate training and motivation of the staff. Take personal interest in the development of the Staff.

• Support the structure by providing a creative, efficient imput in the current and future activities of the facility.

• Keep abreast of competition, trends/developments in the animal and pet sectors at large.

• Ensure the center continuously meets the highest international standards of the industry in terms of products, services, and technologies.

• Proposing any potential business expansion opportunities according to real time market demand and status.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in leading operations, preferably within the pet-care industry

  • Excellent communication and client interaction.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities to achieve operational goals.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of UAE regulations related to veterinary clinic operations, including animal welfare standards, facility licensing, and controlled pharmaceuticals management.

  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.

  • Experience in the UAE veterinary market, handling diverse clients, and collaborating with local veterinary organizations is preferred.
