Business Unit: United Al Saqer Group (UASG) – Investment

The Business Unit invests in PE/VC, Real Estate and Financial Markets. The Investment Team manages investments internally, selects & monitors external asset managers across multiple asset classes and participates in direct investments in companies/assets.

In this role you will have the opportunity:

To be part of a truly diverse, fast paced Investment department within The United Al Saqer Group. You will have responsibility and accountability for building the bookkeeping and cash management arm of all the Real Estate investment projects and transactions. Additionally, you will be responsible for the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of bookkeeping and cash management, and a comprehensive set of controls to ensure invoices and payments are processed in an efficient and effective manner.

Your responsibilities:

  • Establish and design policies and procedures to carry out bookkeeping and cash management activities.
  • Process invoices and payment orders related, but not limited to, ongoing development projects, administrative activities by external service providers as deemed relevant and appropriate.
  • Develop, maintain, and update a detailed and comprehensive cash flow forecast for every ongoing project and entity to make sure sufficient liquidity to meet payment obligations.
  • Perform periodic (i.e. monthly) bank reconciliations and cross check every entry on the bank statement to make sure it is legitimate and properly justified.
  • Coordinate on a continuous basis with Project Managers, Accountants and other parties as deemed required and necessary.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, consolidation and presentation of reports on a periodic basis (i.e. monthly or as required).
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts (Profit and Loss/ Balance Sheet) and ensure they are aligned with the figures produced by third parties.
  • Cash flow management and reporting including regular review of income and expenditure to ensure cash flow is adequate to meet continuing business needs.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline - Finance & Accounting
  • Previous experience of International VAT & TAX
  • Investment Banking or Real Estate background
  • Strong verbal & literature skills in English
  • UAE based
  • Strong experience & understanding of Bookkeeping & Accountancy
