Automotive High Voltage Technician

As electric-only, hybrid, and fuel cell electric vehicles are increasing in sales, they are becoming more common place in repair facilities. Along with the unique powertrains that come with these vehicles, also comes unique safety concerns. We require that only certified technicians can work on HV systems, along with additional vehicle-specific training.

Our business:

We are looking for a full-time High Voltage Technicians to join our team at Abu Dhabi Motors and work with a leading dealership in the automotive industry within UAE.

Your role

• Collaborate on the computer design of EVs and their components (powertrain system, battery pack, chassis)
• Collaborate on technical studies inherent in the design of an EV
• Carry out workshop tests (engine drive, battery pack and BMS, communication systems, embedded systems)
• Verify the quality of system connections (harnesses, crimps, compliance with industry quality standards)
• Ensure the efficiency of the EV assembly process by diagnosing problems and offering solutions
• Carry out road or shop tests of assembled EVs
• Apply established safety rules for handling high-voltage systems

Your profile

You’ll need engineering educational background whether from electrical or automotive. As well as understanding the full range of automotive products, parts and services, you’re a car enthusiast or mechanic. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience: 

• Fresh Graduates / Experienced
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Certified / Experienced on HV premium brands
• U.A.E. / International work experience
• Proficient in English language, knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage
