Architect cum Interior Designer

We are seeking an Architect cum Interior Designer to become a part of our outstanding team within the Private Office sector. Your responsibilities:

1. Conceptual Design: Develop and present design concepts that align with the client’s vision, ensuring a balance between functionality, aesthetics, and cultural relevance.

2. Space Planning: Analyze spatial requirements to optimize layouts for both interior and exterior spaces, focusing on flow, accessibility, and comfort.

3. Construction Documentation: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and documents for construction, ensuring compliance with local regulations and building codes.

4. Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings that enhance the overall design while considering durability and maintenance, particularly in luxury settings.

5. Collaboration: Work closely with clients, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project development. Regular meetings to maintain clear communication and manage expectations may be necessary.

6. Project Management: Oversee the design process from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with project timelines.

7. Cultural Sensitivity: Understand and incorporate local architectural styles and cultural elements, especially in the context of working on properties in the Middle East.

8. Sustainability: Implement eco-friendly practices and sustainable materials wherever possible, in alignment with modern design principles and the growing demand for sustainable living.

9. Trend Research: Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in both architecture and interior design to offer innovative solutions.

10. Client Liaison: Maintain ongoing communication with clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction throughout the design and construction process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design or related discipline.

SKILLS and EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

• Experience working with high-profile clients or luxury projects can also be a significant advantage.

• Strong artistic and creative vision

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit

• Knowledge of building codes and regulations in the UAE

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Project management abilities

• Understanding of historical and cultural influences on contemporary design

• Valid UAE driving license is required
  

Location: Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. (should be willing to consider working for projects in other emirates and countries)
