Royal Joinery has its own dedicated workshop to assist clients on high-profile projects that require international expertise and a degree of workmanship that eliminates the need to source sub-contractors and third-party furniture suppliers. Our primary focus is on carpentry and woodwork specialties across a wide variety of projects and sectors through the delivery of sophisticated, qualified experts in their field and innovative techniques and equipment.


Royal International Construction is a relatively new name in the UAE's vibrant construction scene, but it is one that harnesses the strengths and heritage of its founders and the expert talents of its proactive management team. The company currently employs over 500 construction experts located throughout the UAE, with an unparalleled skillset covering finance, architecture, design, mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as project management. We also have an in-house team dedicated to producing high-standard technical bids and comprehensive and competitive commercial tenders. 


as the planning engineer is responsible for ensuring effective project planning and scheduling, as well as monitoring project progress to achieve timely and efficient project delivery. This role requires collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed within scope, budget, and time constraints.



Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop comprehensive project schedules using appropriate software tools.
  • Monitor and update project schedules to reflect actual progress.
  • Identify critical path activities and potential delays.
  • Ensure alignment of project schedules with overall project objectives.

2.Resource Allocation:

  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of materials and equipment.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines.

3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Identify potential risks to project timelines and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues that may impact project schedules.

4. Reporting and documentation:

  • Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, plans, and reports.

5.Change Management:

  • Assess the impact of changes to the project scope and adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Collaborate with project managers to evaluate change requests.

6.Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that project schedules align with quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Support quality control teams in tracking and reporting on quality metrics.

7.Cost Control:

  • Collaborate with the finance department to monitor project costs.
  • Assist in cost forecasting and budget tracking.

8.Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in project planning and execution.

Job requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum Experience:

  • at least 5-7 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in the construction industry.

Technical KSAs/Certifications, etc.:

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
