Summary:
The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, monitoring project progress, and resolving technical issues to drive successful project execution.
Key Interactions & Communication:
Project Managers: Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
Construction Teams: Provide technical support and ensure work aligns with project specifications.
Clients: Address concerns and provide project updates to maintain satisfaction.
Consultants & Regulatory Authorities: Ensure project compliance with industry codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Execution & Coordination
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Oversee daily site activities and ensure work progress aligns with the project timeline.
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely material and equipment delivery.
Identify and resolve technical issues in collaboration with the engineering team.
Ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
2. Quality Control & Compliance
Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
Monitor construction materials and workmanship to meet project quality requirements.
Ensure that all work aligns with regulatory codes and standards.
Assist in managing non-conformances and implementing corrective actions.
3. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for management review.
Maintain project records, including RFIs, method statements, and work permits.
Assist in the preparation of project handover documents, including as-built drawings.
4. Managerial Responsibilities (If Applicable)
Supervise junior engineers and site teams, providing technical guidance.
Foster collaboration between various teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Job requirements
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in construction project execution, preferably within the UAE.
Technical Skills & Certifications:
✔ Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
✔ Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
✔ Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
✔ Familiarity with local construction regulations and compliance requirements.
✔ Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills.
✔ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
