Project Manager (Abu Dhabi)

Job description

  • Manage the project execution in accordance with contract requirements and with the implementation of the company quality and HSE systems on site within allocated time and budget.
  • Manage the project scope of work by defining the scope and performing control on the requirements and variations.
  • Review and interprets proposed designs, drawings, and specifications for appropriateness to required function and/or standard and initiates revisions where appropriate.
  • Prepare overall plan for execution & liaise with planning department for detailed program, program preparation and resource allocation.
  • Monitoring progress percentage and construction schedule updates. Create and implement plans for improvement, implement corrective action-recovery planning within the budgetary allowance.
  • Developing project Plans and schedules, determine priorities & objectives, controls work load and keeps sufficient time records for work flow and output.
  • Provide management support to project team and departments through provision of clearly defined objectives, milestones and specific deliverables necessary to achieve program targets.
  • Ensure that all site activities are performed in the most effective and efficient manner sets targets for the members and provide necessary coaching to further optimize performances
  • Manage site operations with discipline and execute the works as per the construction schedule with a set of performance parameters.
  • Prepare project budget and control project cost through cost sheet and forecast calculations adhering to remain within the budget as agreed with the management.
  • Prepare the monthly bill statement and submit within the first five days of the new month.
  • Coordinate with the consultant(s) for bill approvals, preparing and submitting all necessary records as per the contract requirements in coordination with the respective functional departments.
  • Responsible for the management of project, through allocation of sufficient and adequate resource to ensure successful execution with a view to control cost and maximize productivity.
  • Liaise with management on allocations of resources; be cognizant of store’s Inventory and purchase of materials.
  • Perform close coordination with all departments to ensure uninterrupted progress on site.
  • Liaison with sub-contractors, suppliers, consultants, clients and local authorities as required.
  • Manage, control, liaise & coordinate with all subcontractors appointed on the project and impose all contract requirements with respect of quality scope, program and budget. Also maintain total written records and correspondence of all events liaising with contract administration, engineering and procurement as necessary.
  • Reviews and approves Subcontractor payment certificates.
  • Assisting to prepare detailed safety plan through the safety department, Implement, monitor and manage to ensure project staff compliance.
  • Raise the necessary “Request For Information” transmittals and monitor responses.
  • Control work supervision & lead the team by example in timekeeping, cleanness, safety, quality and attention to detail.
  • Manage the engineering process ensuring that all submittals (subcontractor / materials / shop drawings / Method statements etc..) are submitted on time for satisfactory approvals and ensure subcontractors’ abidance by the same.
  • Review and produce all necessary daily, weekly and monthly reports as per project requirements. Maintain internal timely and accurate site reports. Conduct regular Team Meetings and implement corrective actions. Work collaboratively with managers to ensure projects is procured and constructed in line with the company’s best practices while conforming to technical requirements, budget and quality.


  • Candidate should have a Bachelor Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Projects with value equal to or greater than 50 Million Dhs.
