The QA/QC Engineer at Royal International Construction is responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout all construction projects. This role plays a vital part in upholding the company's reputation for excellence and ensuring that projects are completed successfully, meeting or exceeding client expectations.

Key Interaction & Communication:

  1. Project Managers: Collaborate with project managers to create and execute comprehensive QA/QC plans tailored to each project's unique requirements.

  2. Construction Teams: Work closely with construction teams to enforce quality control processes, address any quality issues promptly, and provide guidance on maintaining quality standards.

  3. Clients: Engage with clients to communicate QA/QC progress, address their quality-related concerns, and ensure their satisfaction.

  4. Regulatory Authorities: Interact with regulatory bodies to guarantee adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Brief Description of Activities:

  1. Develop, implement, and continually refine QA/QC plans for construction projects, incorporating thorough inspection and testing protocols.

  2. Conduct regular on-site inspections and audits to verify compliance with established quality standards and project specifications.

  3. Scrutinize construction documentation, blueprints, and specifications to proactively identify and resolve potential quality challenges.

  4. Collaborate with project teams to promptly address quality-related issues and offer technical expertise.

  5. Regularly report on QA/QC progress to project stakeholders and provide insights to improve processes.

  6. Ensure that all construction materials and equipment meet the requisite quality standards and certifications.

  7. Execute inspections and tests on construction materials, structural components, and systems.

  8. Maintain meticulous records of all QA/QC activities and generate comprehensive reports as needed.

  9. Organize and deliver training sessions to educate construction teams on QA/QC best practices.

  10. Engage in both internal and external quality audits and assessments.

  11. Stay abreast of industry developments and regulations pertinent to quality assurance and control.

Job requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction QA/QC.

Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Certifications:

  • Proficiency in construction codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Strong command of quality control and quality assurance processes.

  • In-depth understanding of construction materials, methods, and practices.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Competence in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

  • Familiarity with testing and inspection procedures for construction materials and systems.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) are advantageous.

  • Proficiency in using QA/QC software and tools.
